Starlink Mini In-Motion Mounting Guide

Starlink Mini supports internet while you drive — but only if the dish is mounted flat, secure, and with a clear view of the sky. Here's how to set it up for reliable in-motion use.

Mount it flat and level

The dish needs a flat mount with an unobstructed view overhead. The Striker mount holds the Mini securely flat — proven in service worldwide from the Arctic Circle to desert heat, and highway-tested past 130 mph with magnets.

Choose your mounting method

  • Roof rack — bolt the mount to 1", 1.5", or Leitner crossbars
  • Magnets — 260 lb of quick-release hold for steel surfaces or our steel mounting discs
  • Vacuum mounts — no-drill mounting on glass, fiberglass, or painted metal

Keep it locked down at speed

For highway and off-road use, magnets plus the polycarbonate shield keep the dish planted and protected. Add the security tether so nothing parts ways with the vehicle.

Power it continuously

Wire the DC power adapter into your 12V system so the dish stays powered as you drive — no inverter, gauge-matched for full current.

A note on obstructions

Roof racks, antennas, and cargo can block the dish's view and drop your connection. Mount toward the front or center with clear sky above.

Set up right, Starlink Mini keeps you connected mile after mile.
