The Best Way to Mount Starlink for Overlanding

Overlanding pushes gear hard — washboard roads, dust, branches, and highway speeds between trails. Here's how to mount Starlink Mini so it survives the trip and comes off easy at camp.

Mount to your roof rack

The Striker mount bolts directly to 1", 1.5", or Leitner ACS crossbars — works great with Prinsu, Sherpa, and similar racks. For minimum height, add our Low-Profile Adapters so the dish sits tight to the rack.

Go magnetic for quick-release

The magnet kit lets you pull the dish off in seconds at camp and drop it back on before you roll out. Four magnets deliver 260 lb of combined hold — highway-tested past 130 mph.

Protect the dish

  • Polycarbonate shield — impact and hail protection over the top
  • Rock & bug deflector — shields the dish face from trail debris
  • Spacer kit — clears roof ridges on vehicles like the Sprinter

Power on the trail

Run the DC adapter off your 12V system, or the USB-C adapter from a power bank for flexibility.

Lock it down

In camp or in town, the security tether locks the dish to the mount.

Built from USA-made materials and engineered for harsh conditions, a Striker mount is made for exactly this kind of abuse.
